About the Principal...

Tim O'Shea is a Human Resources professional who has worked in a wide range of manufacturing, industrial, service and financial organizations in Western, Central, Atlantic Canada and off-shore. Some of his clients include: diversified wealth management advisor companies operating both locally and internationally; global brewing; pharmaceutical manufacturing; shipbuilding; pulp & paper; retail; engineering; communications and transportation businesses.

Prior to setting up his own HR-related business (HR Workplace Solutions), he was Vice-President, Human Resources, for National Trust-Scotiabank, a major Canadian financial conglomerate.

Tim's areas of expertise include: Executive Coaching; Employee & Labour Relations; Recruiting & Organizational Development; 'Total Compensation' & Reward Systems and Learning & Development.

He is an experienced Mediator, working with clients to resolve difficult employee conflicts and grievances.

Tim is also a Volunteer Mediator with the Attorney General's Department and the community-based Etobicoke Conflict Mediation Team.

In addition to his core business interests, Tim is a regular contributor of opinions/articles to professional Human Resources publications across Canada & the Toronto 'Globe & Mail' national newspaper. He is also a frequent presenter at Human Resources Conferences & Workshops. Tim earned a Masters Degree in Peace and Conflict Management studies at the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences from Royal Roads University, British Columbia. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.
